American Chemistry Council Recognizes TQL as Responsible Care Partner of the Year
Total Quality Logistics has been named a 2020 Responsible Care Partner of the Year by the American Chemistry Council (ACC).
The Responsible Care Partner of the Year Award recognizes ACC Partner companies which pledge to improve environmental, health, safety and security performance for facilities, processes and products. All companies involved in the Responsible Care program must pass audits at their headquarters and other locations to ensure there is a structure and system in place to verify performance.
“We are committed to continually improve in the areas of health, safety, security and environmental performance,” said Kerry Byrne, president of TQL. “This award is recognition of our commitment to our employees, our buildings, and the environment, so we’re extremely proud to receive this honor.”
An example of TQL’s commitment to the environment is through its initiative to reduce ‘empty miles’ by utilizing carriers more strategically to decrease the miles traveled prior to picking up a load. This initiative contributes to reduced carbon footprints for TQL, its customers and carriers.
TQL is also committed to improvements in the chemical supply chain when arranging the transportation of chemicals, with a focus on employee health and facility safety and security. This effort also positively impacts customers, carriers and local communities.
TQL also received this award in 2018.
