TQL Will Expand Its Downtown Chicago Offices
Cincinnati – Total Quality Logistics (TQL) will expand its Chicago sales operations this month. TQL is taking over nearly 12,000 sq. ft. of additional office space in the West Loop to accommodate its more than 100 current sales employees and the more than 150 additional salespeople it plans to add by the end of 2015. TQL was recently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois.
“Chicago was the first satellite office we opened when we started our national expansion strategy in 2009,” said Byrne. “We couldn’t be more proud of what the team’s success has meant for our entire company.”
As one of the largest third-party logistics providers in the nation, TQL connects shippers who have product that needs to be moved with truckload carriers who have the capacity to move it. The company identifies the right trucks for particular freight loads, negotiates rates, and ensures on-time delivery. TQL arranged the movement of more than 600,000 loads of freight in 2012 with sales revenue of more than $1.3 billion.
The company credits its national expansion strategy as being one of the key components to its impressive organic growth, from a Cincinnati, Ohio start-up in 1997 to today being the second largest freight brokerage firm in the nation based on revenue, as ranked by Transport Topics magazine.
