TQL salutes troops through Military Month campaign in May

Annual tribute program yielded donation, care packages

Cincinnati, OH (June 1, 2023) — Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest freight brokerage in North America and one of the largest global third-party logistics firms, donated $60,320 to military charities and assembled 7,000 care packages for the troops as part of its Military Month campaign.

The annual May endeavor featured TQL’s 15^th edition of Hauls for Heroes. Through this program, TQL made a financial pledge for every load moved from May 15-21 and donated the funds to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and United Service Organizations (USO).

TQL team members also assembled military care packages during a Helpy Hour, a happy hour with a charitable twist, at Cincinnati headquarters May 25.

Prior to the Helpy Hour, TQL invited customers, carriers, friends, family and the public to thank soldiers and their families with digitally created free care packages. TQL printed their personalized messages, purchased the contents (chips, gum, cereal, cookies, playing cards and more) and boxed the packages for distribution.

Together with employees, customers, carriers and the public, TQL has donated more than $438,800 and 19,500 care packages to active military and veterans since 2009.

TQL’s other Military Month initiatives included inviting employees to honor troops on a Military Tribute Wall at headquarters and lighting the building exterior with patriotic colors throughout May.

The company’s commitment to the military extends year-round and includes an Employee Resource Group called Veteran Employees Targeting Success (VETS).
