TQL Recognizes USO and CECO with Moves that Matter Gifts

Total Quality Logistics announced its seventh Moves That Matter gift. TQL is giving a $1,000 check to the United Service Organization as part of the Moves That Matter campaign.

Moves That Matter benefits non-profit organizations who use the truckload transportation industry to move items that will help those suffering or in need. TQL employees, customers or carriers can nominate non-profit organizations with whom they have worked to help move an important load of freight.

The load of freight that sparked this most recent nomination was a shipment of 250 bicycles moving from New York to Norfolk. The bikes were donated to the USO as holiday gifts for the children of United States military members currently serving their country. The USO’s mission is to “lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families.”

The USO gift comes on the heels of TQL’s sixth $1,000 Moves That Matter donation to the Conductive Education Center of Orlando.

TQL arranged a shipment of specialized chairs, tables and other walking assistance equipment to CECO in Orlando, Fla., from Beaverton, Ore. CECO offers programs to address the unmet educational and physical needs of children with cerebral palsy and other motor disabilities.

“We are extremely appreciative of TQL’s support throughout the years,” said Krissy Stewart, CECO community relations manager. “As with many non-profits, our staff is small. To efficiently produce an event, we must rely on volunteers. With TQL’s continued support, we are transforming the lives of children with motor disabilities.”

Any TQL employee, customer or carrier who has had the honor of being a part of a move that matters for a qualified 501 (c) (3) is asked to share their story by emailing MovesThatMatter@tql.com. Full program details and eligibility requirements can be found at www.tql.com/Moves-that-Matter.
