Orlando, Fla- Total Quality Logistics (TQL) continues its aggressive national expansion with the announcement of a new Orlando, Fla. sales office. This is the 17th satellite office TQL has opened in the past four years, and the first of its planned new office openings for 2013.
TQL is now the second largest freight brokerage in the nation, responsible for arranging truckload transportation between shippers and carriers. TQL’s national expansion allows it to serve an increasingly larger share of the full truckload domestic market. The company has grown an average of 30% per year since its founding in 1997.
“This region is a great choice for a number of reasons,” said Kerry Byrne, TQL executive vice president. “It is an area where we can attract motivated individuals from surrounding colleges and universities to a challenging and rewarding sales career with our company.”
TQL’s Orlando office will open on March 4 with six employees who are relocating to the area from the company’s Cincinnati, Ohio headquarters and its Tampa, Fla. office. The new Orlando office will be located at 604 Courtland St.
TQL will create up to 75 new positions within the next three years at its Orlando office, as announced earlier today by the Metro Orlando EDC. The State of Florida, Enterprise Florida, Orange County and the Metro Orlando EDC all collaborated to bring TQL into the local business community.
“The key to our company’s growth is attracting hard working, ambitious individuals to a fast-paced, high growth industry,” said Byrne. “In return, we can offer a rewarding career opportunity to Orlando job seekers.”

The average compensation for a salesperson who has been selling with TQL for only two years is more than $60,000. For the top 20% of sales people in the company, that number hurdles to an average of more than $100,000.
But TQL also emphasizes to job seekers that this is a challenging position in an extremely fast-paced and competitive industry. “Work ethic and tenacity are the primary components of success,” said Byrne.
