TQL makes $240,000 donation to charity as part of milestone celebration
Employee choices determines funding for eight nonprofit organizations
Cincinnati, Ohio (January 31, 2023) — Total Quality Logistics (TQL), the second-largest freight brokerage in North America and one of the largest global third-party logistics firms, celebrated a company milestone Jan. 27 and donated $240,000 to eight nonprofit organizations.
The nonprofits selected are some of the top organizations in which TQL employees volunteer their time and donate funds.
“What better way to support our community than by giving to the causes in which our employees are personally invested,” TQL President Kerry Byrne said. “We are all proud to support the missions of these incredible nonprofits.”
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention received $100,000. The remaining donation was divided among Big Brothers Big Sisters, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Feeding America, Humane Society of the United States, Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics and Save the Children.

Employee choice, a key component to TQL’s giving strategy, led to an 81% employee giving participation average in 2022. The national average is 39%.
TQL donated $4 million to support 3,600 nonprofits through employee donations and a company match in 2022. Employees also dedicated 8,250+ hours to volunteerism.
