Cincinnati, OH – Total Quality Logistics (TQL), a third party freight brokerage firm headquartered in Union Township, has received a warm welcome from many community organizations as part of their TQL Cares campaign for community involvement. The most recent recipients of the effort were the families utilizing the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The charity provides housing for the families of the children undergoing various medical treatments at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital. During a time when many of the families grab meals to go or eat out of a vending machine, TQL employees prepared a full, warm breakfast to help make their stay at the House as comfortable and welcoming as possible. The house is currently undergoing renovation to add an additional 30 rooms, which will be able to house an additional 500 families each year. Due to this renovation, the house kitchens are not accessible. Armed with hot plates and electric griddles, the TQL employees were able to cook up a hot breakfast for the families.
“All of us at TQL believe it is important to lend a hand and help out others,” says Jackie Osborne, TQL Marketing Specialist, who coordinates the event for TQL. “Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald house has always been a popular event at TQL. Meeting the families and seeing the looks on their faces is the most rewarding and inspirational experience we can ask for. I look forward to working with this charity every year.”
The Ronald McDonald House Charities is just one of the local organizations in which TQL has become involved for their TQL Cares initiative. Among a few other programs benefiting from TQL’s efforts include: Support the Troops, American Heart Association, Give Back Cincinnati and Big Brothers Big Sisters. The campaign targets one organization each month and recruits employees to volunteer as well as conducts additional fundraising activities to contribute financial support to many additional organizations.
