TQL Announces Its June "Moves that Matter" Recipient

Total Quality Logistics is pleased to announce Rescue Bank® as the June recipient of a $1,000 donation from the TQL Moves that Matter program.

Rescue Bank provides food supplies to animal rescue and rehabilitation groups. Its network of regional affiliates receive truckload donations of pet food and distribute pallet quantities to qualified groups. The program allows rescue organizations to transfer part of their food budget to other much needed services.

TQL’s new Moves that Matter program was sparked by the company’s experience arranging for the pickup and delivery of playgrounds for the Where Angels Play Foundation.  The Where Angels Play Foundation was the first recipient of a donation from TQL -- $5,000 to assist in the construction of 26 playgrounds built in memory of each of the 26 victims of the 2012 shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School.  TQL will be sending volunteers to assist with the construction of the 26th and final playground, in honor of Sandy Hook Elementary School Principal, Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung, in September. 

“Our goal with this program is to encourage everyone who works in the transportation industry to take pride in the valuable work they do and shine a light on the many people and organizations working for the greater good in our communities,” said TQL Executive Vice President, Kerry Byrne.

Moves that Matter is open to all TQL employees, customers, and carriers who have had the honor of helping a recognized 501(c) (3) organization transport an important load of freight.
