Cincinnati, OH – Total Quality Logistics (TQL), a third party freight brokerage firm headquartered in Union Township, recently reached out to the community through the Adopt A Class program at Riverview East Academy. TQL employees took lunch to Sharon Holland and Colleen Kling’s third grade classes at Riverview East Academy, and then took part in classic playground games such as softball, touch football, and other various events.
The event was part of the company’s TQL Cares initiative, a year-long commitment to community involvement. Adopt A Class, just one of the many organizations Total Quality Logistics is involved with, partners local businesses with an elementary class from participating schools to provide positive role models to the students and help build their social skills. Riverview East is one of eleven Ohio schools that participate in the program.
“This is the fourth year that we have been involved with the Adopt A Class program,” says Mike Zins, Chief Financial Officer at Total Quality Logistics and J P Parker School Adopt A Class Team Leader. “We enjoyed spending time with the kids during the holiday season and wanted to extend our commitment to the organization by continuing our efforts through the school year with this spring event.”
In addition to the class at Riverview East Academy, Total Quality Logistics sponsors a second grade class at John P. Parker Elementary. An event is planned for June with this class.
TQL is also active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the March of Dimes. Each month, Total Quality Logistics employees volunteer to help one organization as part of the TQL Cares campaign. Ongoing fundraising activities throughout the year provide financial support for a number of other organizations.
