Cincinnati - Total Quality Logistics (TQL), a freight brokerage firm that arranges the shipping of products using freight carriers, is holding a campaign to raise money for breast cancer research through a donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation. In addition to its corporate sponsorship of the 2011 Cincinnati Race for the Cure 5K® event, TQL is providing another level of giving that involves its client and carrier groups.
Through its "Loads for a Cure" fundraiser, TQL will donate $1 for each truckload shipment the company arranges September 12-18, 2011--the week before the race. The total donation amount will be given to the Cincinnati Susan G. Komen chapter in an on-stage check presentation prior to the start of the race on Saturday, September 24, 2011.
The 2010 Loads for a Cure event resulted in an additional $8,083 for the cause. Combined with its corporate sponsorship and individual employee contributions, the total donation to the Susan G. Komen foundation was more than $19,450. TQL is looking to increase this amount for 2011 and is eager to work with new and existing customers and carriers to help achieve this goal.
