Total Quality Logistics Recognized in the May 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Third-Party Logistics, North America
Cincinnati (OH) – Total Quality Logistics (TQL) has been named to the May 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Third-Party Logistics, North America.*
According to Gartner, “This Magic Quadrant evaluates the most prominent third-party logistics providers in North America. Supply chain leaders can use this research to better understand these 3PLs and their capabilities when sourcing the set of providers to partner with for their logistics outsourcing needs in the region.”
TQL is a new addition to the May 2019 Magic Quadrant, with net logistics services revenues, according to TQL’s own analysis, exceeding $680 million in 2018, and is positioned in the Challengers quadrant.
The report goes on to say, “Many companies view logistics outsourcing as an effective strategy primarily to reduce costs, but more and more customers are seeking innovative solutions that can improve process and service as well.”
“Premium customer service is what sets us apart from the competition and the reason we believe we are challenging the traditional North American 3PL market,” said TQL President Kerry Byrne. “The reason we excel at service is because of the entrepreneurial business model with which we operate that is unlike anyone else in the industry and the breadth and depth of our carrier network.”
In the past decade, TQL’s gross revenues grew from $523 million in 2009 to $3.6 billion in 2018. TQL announced its expansion into new service lines just two years ago, providing less-than-truckload and intermodal services to customers, along with its full-truckload services.
“We will continue to add new modes and specialized services for our customers based on their needs and our ability to execute those services with the level of service our customers have come to expect. Investments in technology such as TQL TRAX, our web portal and mobile app, is helping expedite this process and helping us serve our customers and carriers better and faster,” added Byrne.
