No Record, No Worries

Total Quality Logistics came up short in its bid to set another GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title, but considered the event a success all the same.
 
TQL missed the existing record of 827 people doing sit-ups simultaneously, but the company announced fundraising efforts for TQL Military Month surpassed $19,000 today, making the effort all worth it.
 
“Record or no record, the event is about recognizing the men and women and their families who sacrifice so much to serve our country,” said Corey Drushal, TQL corporate giving specialist. “In the end, it’s all about them, not us, and having some fun for our employees and the entire community in the process is an added bonus.”
 
TQL employees’ internal contributions coupled with donations from the public during today’s attempt benefit The Boot Campaign, Disabled American Veterans, The USO of Central and Southern Ohio and the Yellow Ribbon Support Foundation.
 
This was TQL’s second attempt at setting a world record. Last summer, 734 people assembled to shatter the previous record for people doing pushups simultaneously.
 
The Fastrax Professional Skydiving Team parachuted onto TQL grounds prior to the Guinness attempt, dropping out of the sky with American flags to get the crowd fired up for the record run.
