American Chemistry Council Recognizes TQL as Responsible Care Partner of the Year

Cincinnati (OH) – Total Quality Logistics (TQL), North America’s second largest freight brokerage firm, received the 2018 Responsible Care Partner of the Year Award from the American Chemistry Council (ACC) at the Annual Responsible Care Conference.

The Responsible Care Partner of the Year Award recognizes efforts made by ACC Partner companies to significantly enhance their performance and go above and beyond the standard course of business to improve the health and safety of their employees, the communities in which they operate, and the environment as a whole.
 
“The Responsible Care certification process has taken our employee safety, training and communications efforts to a new level at the company and we’re extremely proud of that,” says TQL President, Kerry Byrne.

As part of the Responsible Care program, TQL is committed to open and transparent reporting and undergoes mandatory headquarters and facility audits to certify its performance. 

TQL presented a session at this year’s Annual Responsible Care Conference & Expo in Hollywood, Florida on what it learned while navigating the Responsible Care audit and certification process and how other companies can apply those learnings to become Responsible Care certified themselves.

The Responsible Care Partner Award is open to all Partner companies and the criteria to qualify for the award includes completing all third-party certification in the Responsible Care Management System, implementing the Responsible Care Security Code, completing all Responsible Care reporting obligations and having zero fatalities in the past calendar year.
