Teamwork, Perseverance Lead to IT Win
TQL’s IT Team has been recognized as a Tech Team of the Year by the Cincinnati Business Courier for the second year in a row. A panel of Cincinnati-based tech experts chose winners based on how nominees “demonstrated creativity, customer service, intelligence and commitment to success” to achieve a stated goal.
In our case, the goal was to release a new system that would be used by employees, customers and carriers to manage freight movements.
Faced with rolling out a major piece of technology with a fixed launch date, the team decided that meeting their aggressive deadline meant reimagining how they functioned.
At TQL, our focus is never on what can or can’t be done, but how to do all things the right way. This time, it meant completely changing our software development strategy during a project to ensure the team had the flexibility and creative license they needed to launch on time.
There may have been some sleepless nights and 18-hour days along the way, but ultimately the system rolled out successfully and on time.
The new system is just one of several projects TQL has undertaken to deliver innovative supply chain solutions. As a matter of fact, there will be an entirely new technology center in our building expansion to further enhance our ability to keep pushing the industry forward.
