Fun, games and live music: TQL’ers flock to new Fall Fest event at Cincinnati HQ

New event at HQ features carnival rides, face painting – and even a petting zoo  

Total Quality Logistics celebrated fall carnival-style by unveiling a new employee event with a little bit of something for everyone.

Adults and families alike were treated to four hours of fun in a free outdoor festival at Cincinnati headquarters Sept 30.

More than 1,200 team members feasted on complimentary lunch and soft drinks. TQL’ers enjoyed Dr Pepper barbecue glazed chicken quarters, smoky paprika dry rubbed ribs, grilled hot dogs, roasted corn on the cob, house mac and cheese, cornbread with jalapeño honey butter and chips.

Dessert was just as flavorful, with fried Oreos, funnel cakes, cotton candy and shaved ice.

From there, it was a choose your own adventure: Head to the rides and carnival games, or dive into 21-and-older gaming opportunities.

Kids and parents enjoyed festival games like Duck Pond, Lollipop Pull, Fish Bowl Toss and Ring Toss. They took turns on a Ferris Wheel, Swing Carousel and a Giant Slide.

Face painting? Check. Petting zoo with bunnies, ducks, miniature horses, goats, chicken and llamas? Check.

As Audio Graffiti played live music on a stage and a magician and jugglers strolled the concourse, many adults aged 21 and older made their way to the gaming tent for poker, blackjack and roulette and to try their aim at the Boozy Ring Toss.

On a bright fall day filled with sunshine, the first Fall Fest was a hit with the TQL team. Here’s a sampling of feedback provided by TQL'ers:

• Great event!  My family really loves the Christmas and Easter events as well.  This one was special, as it had something fun and special for all age groups.
• I have only been at TQL for a short amount of time, but this Fall Fest really showed me how much TQL truly appreciates its employees. My kids had so much fun. There were plenty of things to do for both parents and children. The face painting artists were amazing. The rides were so much fun (especially being able to ride again...and again), and the food was mouth-watering. I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing company.
• It was a great time. My kids really enjoyed it. I am hoping this becomes a yearly event!
• A 10/10 event. It flew by, and I’d only want it to be longer.
