Record Breaking Loads for a Cure Campaign for TQL’s 11th Annual Cancer Awareness Month

When Bret R. asked to shave his head in the office, of course we were in. When we found out it was to honor his grandmother who battled cancer and help raise money for the American Cancer Society, we asked how we could help. With a TQL match and encouraged by Bret’s promise to chop his ponytail, our Cincinnati North team raised $2,500 for cancer research. Bret donated his hair to Wigs for Kids to help children battling cancer and hair loss.

Bret’s story is just one example of how our teams came together during TQL’s Annual Cancer Awareness Month this October to raise over $58,000 for the American Cancer Society and honor those affected by cancer.

Together, our teams raised $11,759, matched by TQL. We added this to the $46,798 we raised with our customers during our Loads for a Cure Campaign. From October 12 to 18, we made a donation for every load we moved.  On top of this, employees paid tribute to the loved ones in their lives affected by cancer with tribute walls in each of our offices and on a company-wide cancer awareness casual day when they wore the color of the cancer they stand against.

We are proud to continue our 11-year battle against cancer and add to the more than $470,000 we’ve raised for cancer research since 2010.
