The Giving Continues At TQL
Total Quality Logistics’ philanthropic involvement set records in 2016. The TQL annual giving drive alone raised more than $630,000 for 1,100 different charities around the country.
But – like our business itself – we never stop, never rest, never settle. As the calendar year draws to a close, we’re looking to share some of your more personal stories of generosity.
TQL Cares for the Holidays shines a spotlight on what some of our people and teams around the company and country are doing to make their communities better during this traditional season of giving.
For example, for the second year in a row, the recruiting operations team at headquarters in Cincinnati partnered with Crossroads Community Church to assist with its Thanksgiving food drive.
The team collected enough food between Nov. 14 and 19 to feed a family of 10 – including a whole turkey. The city-wide Crossroads effort will feed 12,000 families locally and in South Africa.
“It’s so fulfilling being a part of something that is much bigger than ourselves,” said Alishia L., who organized the drive. “Each person who gave may have spent only a few dollars, but the impact to a hungry family is priceless.
“We were moved to see how eager the team was to help a local family in need. We were able to collect 50 pounds of food in four days. I am continually impressed with the generosity of the Recruiting Operations team here. As we collected food items for our box, additional conversations started about how we can continue to help the community this holiday season and beyond.”
What is your team doing to make an impact this holiday season? Send the details of your team’s efforts – with photos and/or videos – to tqlcares@tql.com. We’ll highlight some of them on the Life At TQL social media channels and here on the blog site.
