TQL Storms the Castle
Flyers for the event mentioned “a potentially rumbly stomach” as a possible consequence of winning TQL’s first-ever White Castle slider eating contest.
That didn’t stop logistics account executive David C. from wolfing down 14.5 of the onion-steamed burgers in three minutes of competition against 13 other participants.
In winning the contest by half a slider, he earned bragging rights, a trophy and lunch for Team MVH, which had tryouts earlier in the week to see who would represent them in the contest. David won the chance the compete with an 11-burger performance.
“My stomach was all twisted up last night; it was painful,” he said the morning after. “One stomach sacrificed for free lunch for the entire team? I would say it was worth it.”
In addition to the eating contest, the Feb. 2 patio party served as a final football celebration for the season as TQL got ready for the NFL championship between the Patriots and Falcons Feb. 5.
For the second consecutive year, the company is sponsoring a TV commercial for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati during the big game.
