TQL Delivers At Super Bowl
Both the arched golden entryway to Levi Stadium and the set where CBS broadcast Super Bowl 50 came into your living rooms Feb. 7 because of Total Quality Logistics.
LAE Chris McC of TQL Lexington booked the loads with a company that also ships stages for events like the Grammy Awards and the Coachello Music Festival.
They liked what they saw, especially considering Chris had to deal with a mechanical issue that brought the truck to a standstill on the Bay Bridge. He came into work at 1 a.m. to fix the problem and ensure the load delivered on time.
“They really liked the one point of contact and the availability 24/7/365,” Chris said. “They were very happy with our service and our knowledge. They have a high demand for being on time. You just do what you have to do.
“It’s kind of surreal. When you see what you’ve been working on show up on TV in the biggest game of the year, I don’t really have words for it.”
Chris had some personal experience with big stages, having been a volunteer stagehand for three years for the Ichthus Festival – the oldest Christian music festival in the country - in Winchester, Ky.
TQL is used to big stages, too, even sponsoring a PSA that aired during Super Bowl 50 in the Cincinnati marketplace to help raise awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Early reports from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati indicate the organization got as many inquiries overnight about being a mentor as it normally would in a four-month span.
TQL delivers. We’re ready to help move whatever freight you have, up to and including the sets for the biggest football game of the year. Click here to see how you can ship with TQL.
