Boys and Girls Club Come Over For Christmas

Tricked-Out Smart Car Parked In Front Of TQL Building

Because Santa Claus doesn’t always travel in a flying sled, he needs some slick wheels for his ground transportation.

The Big Man’s tricked-out Smart Car - with Lamborghini-style wing doors, a magic key crank in the back and a personalized license plate reading “SLEIGH” – parked in front of TQL's corporate headquarters to meet some special elves.

Total Quality Logistics hosted the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati Clermont County chapters from Amelia, Glen Este and New Richmond for a Christmas party Dec. 9.

About 60 children ranging in age from 6 to 14 were greeted not only by Santa’s car, but also Santa himself backed by a cheering human tunnel of training team employees as they entered the building.

Once inside, the kids enjoyed music, pizza, stilt-walking balloon artists and homemade cookies provided by our Women In Logistics (WIL) group.

In addition, they decorated their own Christmas ornaments, drank hot cocoa and had their pictures taken with Santa. Volunteers from several other departments staffed the different stations for the special guests.

It was the first time in the history of the Clermont County program that all three groups have been able to celebrate the holiday together.

“You know how I know this was a great event?” asked Britton Martin of the Boys and Girls Club. “One of our kids asked me what time it was and when I told him it was 5:30, he said, ‘Yes! We get another 30 minutes.’”

TQL executive sales director Joe T. - who also serves on the advisory board for Clermont County Boys and Girls Clubs – welcomed the guests, gave a short presentation on the company and handed out prizes for a number of children who answered his questions correctly.

TQL Cares for the Holidays shines a spotlight on what some of our people and teams around the company and country are doing to make their communities better during this traditional season of giving.
